Manual

Store

The quantity on the shelf is your responsibility. The office reserves a part for a job. You issue it when it leaves the shelf, after the job has been opened.

The catalog

  1. Parts lists the stock for each site. Add a part with a code, a name, the quantity on hand, and a minimum.
  2. The code is unique at that site. The same code at another site is a different row.
  3. A row below its minimum is marked. It counts as critical on the dashboard when that part is also reserved on an open job.

On a job

  1. A planner, a supervisor, or an admin reserves a quantity. The quantity on hand does not change.
  2. Issue takes that quantity off the shelf. You can issue up to the amount reserved, and only what is actually on hand.
  3. Return puts stock back, up to the amount that was issued.
  4. Issue and return both ask you to confirm. Both need a connection at that moment. Neither one waits in a queue.
  5. You can set a job to Waiting for parts, and you can resume it. Starting a job, and completing it, stay with the technician and the office.
  6. Checklist marks and photos stay with the people doing the work.
