Technician

The job on your screen is yours to carry out. Sites, the fleet, and the shelf stay with the office and the store. You start the job and complete it, so the unit can go back to work.

After sign-in

On a phone, sign-in opens Field. At a desk, sign-in opens Office. Field in the office sidebar, and Office in the field header, switch between the two.

My jobs lists the open work assigned to you. Search finds a work-order number, a fleet code, a unit name, or a job title. Units looks up the fleet code, the site, and the SMU. Search there finds a fleet code, a unit name, or a site.

On the job

  1. Open the job and press Start, then confirm. The job moves to In progress. Choose Back and it stays open.
  2. Mark a checklist step when that part of the work is done. The office writes the steps. A mark made without a signal stays on the phone and is sent when the signal returns.
  3. Add a photo from the job. Use a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file of up to 8 MB. One job holds 20 photos. A photo taken without a signal stays on the phone and is sent when the signal returns.
  4. Waiting for parts holds the job when a reserved part is short. The downtime clock keeps running. Resume continues the job.
  5. Complete the job when the unit is ready. The closing SMU is required, and it cannot be below the reading from the start. Leave the downtime blank to use the time since the job was opened. Set the unit to Running or Standby.
  6. Issuing a part, and returning one, is work for the store and the admin.

When the signal drops

  1. While the phone still has a signal, open Jagalat and open the jobs you will need. Reload the page once. A copy is then kept on this phone.
  2. After that, the same address opens with no signal. Jobs you have already opened stay on the phone.
  3. A yellow strip means the work is on this phone. Start, waiting for parts, resume, complete, a photo, and a checklist mark wait in a queue. They are sent when the signal returns. Send now tries to send them at once.
  4. Issuing a part still needs a connection. It does not wait in the queue.

Your sign-in

My account sets a new password after you enter the current one. Other sessions are signed out. In Field, the person icon opens this page. Forgot password, on the sign-in screen, sends one link. The link expires in 30 minutes. Sign out asks you to confirm. Choose Back to stay signed in.
